ON THE MOVE, IN THE OFFICE, WHEREVER YOU ARE, A NEW SERVICE PROMISES TO SPEED DOCUMENT CREATION

A new service, www.morningpapers.com, promises rapid accurate text preparation by dictation using any telephone – mobile or landline. The service links web, telephone, computing technology and expert transcriptionists, to give 8am delivery to your PC of documents dictated up to midnight the day before.

Dictation can be up to three times faster than using a keyboard, so for many users there will be substantial cost savings and improvements in productivity and quality. The service will appeal to many users. Executives who are travelling and need to file reports to HQ, send letters to clients and prepare contracts can now do so with ease. Lawyers, business people, academics, journalists, the visually impaired and many others will find the system simple and easy to use. It can even help save on hiring temporary staff cover.

Registration takes a few moments, and new users can be dictating within minutes. Subscribers to morningpapers.com are allocated an account number and secure password. Once logged in, the easy to use phone keypad controls the recording. Customers can use any telephone to access the service and dictate documents at any time, day or night. These are held on a secure server before transmission to degree-trained transcriptionists, who work in teams of three to cross check and assure accuracy. A minimum 98.5 percent accuracy is guaranteed.

The completed document is delivered to the subscriber as a rich text file that can be imported into any word processor for formatting and further editing if required. The next day service delivers documents by 8am. An express 4-hour service is also available – record a document before lunch to receive it before the close of play. Confidentiality is assured by security systems that are the same standard as used by British banks and insurance companies.

The web site powering the system is easy to use. This provides help for users at every stage, including a paper entitled ‘How to be a Great Dictator’. Feedback on dictation is given in the form of a simple traffic light system so that the user can develop and improve their dictation.

Users can also opt to set up lists of colleagues to automatically receive transcribed documents. There is an option to store company templates so documents are delivered to users in the style they want them. For larger companies, corporate contracts are also available.

One of the creators of the new venture, Will Rowan, commented, “Business people want to focus their energy on communicating and more time doing valuable work, rather than on keyboard skills. Morningpapers.com makes this possible – our phone keypad and website are very easy to use. And the service is based on the same stable and secure core technologies used by large companies.”

To mark the launch of the new venture, the company is currently offering a free five-page trial of the service. Interested users should send an e-mail to yesplease@morningpapers.com.
